Valuable Insights on Canadian and Global Trends, Strategies,
Issues,
and Opportunities for REITs

With a market capitalization of over $23 billion, the Canadian REIT market continues to flourish as investor interest in real estate remains very strong as a unique asset class.

While REITs have been in Canada for over a decade, they have been in the U.S. for some forty years and are gaining more prominence around the world including in Asia, Australia and Europe. They have evolved from passively managed real estate portfolios into dynamic real estate entities that are becoming more of a significant force in real estate markets internationally.

Global real estate trends are moving into the REIT markets with a growth in cross border flows of capital and a continuing shift towards international-based asset values and pricing.

Over 400 executives attended the RealREIT 2007 business forum. Building upon last year’s experience and feedback, the program for 2008 has been planned to provide valuable insights into one of Canada's most significant real estate market sectors, and where this market sector is heading from the perspectives of owners, developers, equity investors, and lenders from across Canada and around the world.

The program has been organized by the Real Property Association of Canada and York Communications / MMPI Canada, the producers of the Real Estate Forums in collaboration with RBC Capital Markets Real Estate Group, the principal sponsor of the event.

In keeping with the strong reputation of the forums, RealREIT 2008 will present high-quality speakers on very topical issues at a relatively low registration fee. Opportunities for networking will also be available throughout the conference.

We hope you will take advantage of this very informative event.
